Our Cub Scouts meet from September through May. Except for December we take off for the busy holidays. Summers we are also off but we usually schedule some family camp outs.
We meet one Monday night a month in St Thomas More's lunchroom from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Kids will break out into individual dens based on grade. They normally work on den adventures set by Scouting America.
We meet one weekend day a month for a Pack Event. This includes all dens and we get together for things like: nature hikes, museum tours, bowling party, fire station tours, etc.
Uniforms are not required, but we do recommend they have the blue Cub Scout shirt for K-4th grade and the tan Scout shirt for 5th grade. The Scout Shop at Northern Star Scouting Base Camp can help with buying a uniform. The pack will supply the correct colored neckerchief.
Parents are required to join their Cub Scouts for den meetings and pack events. We also encourage parents to join our leadership team, help lead den meetings and take on other leadership roles. We are all volunteers so any help is greatly appreciated.
